What Are the Benefits of Royal Jelly for the Skin?

The benefits of royal jelly for the skin include smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, evening skin tone, and ridding the skin of blemishes. It does not contain chemicals or artificial substances and will not leave a residue on the skin. This naturally-derived jelly contains a number of vitamins and proteins that nourish skin to give it a youthful glow. To reap all the benefits of royal jelly, a person must use it consistently, and most users see significant changes after a month of continuous application.

Skin cell reproduction slows with age, stress, and hormonal changes, and the results can be acne, dry skin, and wrinkles. Royal jelly treats all of these conditions in a single product. Those attempting to save money by using fewer skin care formulations can usually replace retinols, benzoyl peroxide, and moisturizers with one all-purpose product containing royal jelly. Though generally more expensive than a generic cream or lotion, it is usually less expensive than purchasing multiple items.

In a beehive, only young larvae and growing queen bees are fed royal jelly. This sweet secretion is thicker and darker than honey, and contains a balance of nutrients. Its combination of proteins, B-complex vitamins, flavonoids, folic acid, and vitamin C can be used to nourish the skin. When skin gets a regular dose of these nutrients, it only needs to work to shed dead skin cells instead of trying to repair itself of daily wear and tear.

Consistent usage is one of the secrets to attaining all of the advantages of royal jelly for the skin. The body needs time to absorb and react to the royal jelly before it shows favorable results. Though some users report seeing improvement in conditions like uneven color right away, most people need to apply it over a longer period to see results.

The best times to apply products containing this substance include right before bed and first thing in the morning. Women who wear makeup may want to apply it as a pre-foundation moisturizer. Men can use it after shaving to help soothe and repair razor burn. Twice-daily treatment should yield fairly swift positive results.

Those using royal jelly for the skin can choose from gels, powders, capsules, and even actual honey with royal jelly mixed into it. Consuming royal jelly produces just as many skin benefits as applying it directly, though it usually takes several months to see results. Most royal jelly is edible, unless it is added to products that contain other ingredients.

Yes! I love royal jelly! I found Joyal Beauty royal jelly serum (Timeless skin renewal serum) is very good on my skin!

@SarahGen-- Hey, thanks for your response and sorry for the late reply.

So I did try royal jelly! I think it's great! It's only been a week, but I'm already seeing a difference with my skin. You're right, this is great for skin tone. I could tell an improvement in the tone of my skin in just a few days.

As for the wrinkles, it might take some time, but I think they're going to look less apparent in a few months. What I have noticed is that royal jelly is very moisturizing. I think it renews skin.

I talked to a pharmacist about it before I bought it and she said that royal jelly contains something that makes skin heal faster. I think the only downside is that it costs a lot, but apparently, that's how it's supposed to be. The pharmacist also told me not to bother with cheap/old royal jelly because it loses its effectiveness when it's not fresh.

And to answer your question, I was taking royal jelly supplements for improved fertility. It helps women get pregnant.

@ddljohn-- I didn't use royal jelly for wrinkles, but rather for hyperpigmentation and acne spots. It cleared up my spots and gave me an even skin tone.

It took a couple of weeks to see the results, and I think it took a total of one month for the spots to completely go away. I still use it when I get new spots. I think it will work on wrinkles too, you should give it a try.

By the way, what did you take the supplements for?

I've taken royal jelly supplements before but I've never used royal jelly products on my skin.

Has anyone tried it? Does it work on wrinkles?
